Rev. Dr. Freddy Yodi Shembo
Director-General (APCSC)
Appointed by presidential decree in March 2024, Honorable Rev. Freddy Yodi Shembo
serves as the Director General of The Agency for the Steering of Coordination and
Monitoring of Agreements (APCSC), overseeing agreements between the Democratic
Republic of Congo (DRC) and its private partners. A dynamic leader with deep ties to
both the DRC and the U.S., Rev. Shembo is committed to bridging opportunities
between the two countries.
Rev. Shembo, who lived in Charlotte for many years, will be returning to North Carolina
to present a unique event aimed at fostering collaboration between Congolese leaders
and American investors. This event, supported by the Charlotte Regional Business
Alliance CRBA, The Charlotte Regional Visitors’ Authority CRVA, the City of Charlotte,
The U.S Commercial Services, Global Impact Industries Inc., and other stakeholders is
designed to bring together key business and government leaders, decision-makers, and
investors to explore the wealth of opportunities in the DRC.
In his presentation, Rev. Shembo will showcase the vast potential of the DRC across
multiple sectors, offering insight into his nation's growing economy and emerging
